LESA (Limited Extreme Shooters At, West End):
Holds this match every 3rd Saturday of the month
at West End Gun Club, CA. This is a 2 Gun Tactical Match with a side match
for center fire rifle (.223 or less) held after the regular match. The match normally consists of four stages of pistol and
one shotgun stage or combinations of handgun and shotgun. You must shoot the regular match to shoot the rifle stage.
|
|
You will need a semi auto pistol or revolver
and a shotgun. Revolvers and pistols with optics or porting are scored separately. To shoot you will need a strong-side hip
holster, magazine pouches, 4-5 magazines, hearing and eye protection. Bring 200 rounds of pistol, 25 rounds of heavy bird
or buck (#4 or #6 bird for steel targets) and 5 slugs. Also have some #00, 9 pellet buck on hand as we occasionally shoot
paper with the shotgun. The rifle stage is usually 30 to 50 rounds.

 |
New or experienced shooters are always welcome. Safe gun
handling and operation is of utmost importance. New shooters will be helped by experienced shooters. Please arrive early,
by 08:15, to fill out range waivers.
WHAT IS THE TIME AND COST?:
Sign up starts about 8:30am. The match starts
at about 9:00am and we finish between Noon and 1:00 PM. The rifle stage starts right after the regular match and usually takes
about one hour. The match fee is $10 for members of West End Gun Club and $20 for non-members. Help setting up the match or
setting up a stage you design is always welcome. A discount to the match fee may be given for this help if you come before
8:00am.
|
You will find this match to be both CHALLENGING
and FUN. We emphasize the tactical side of shooting by doing things like shooting on the move, shooting from cover, use of
strong and weak hand and limited round count on paper. Paper and steel targets such as the Texas star, and other reactive
steel are used each month. We always welcome stage designs or ideas. So if you are looking for some fun, safe, competitive
shooting please come and join us.
